There are a few people trying to fix these problems now but many of the drivers are not documented at all and it’s hard to make changes without breaking things.

If it’s performance you want, 64bit Linux should easily outperform 98SE on an A If anything Via benefited from 939ayp few months extra it had over the competing Nforce3at least in terms of working the kinks out.
The FX chips are just horribly overpriced.
