That was a great review. The store where I was at did not have any clubs with red shaft. The was a little right, ha! Very long, very straight and easy to hit. I bought a The open face on the Tour version combined with the shallower profile allowed me to work the ball, while the elongated non-Tour version did quite well at keeping my drives straight.

The regular XL is great, and in fact it has a bit bigger face to hit with. I had tried some TP version Taylor Mades, but when I had the tech at Golf Smith check the loft and face angles on their equipment it became evident that TM has no quality control whatsover.
This thing really does hit bombs, I averaged about yds on my drives today but had 3 that were over yds one which was yds. The headcovers are quite nice and the E-Z Grab feature allows you to pull off the headcovers with ease. I have an extensive collection of drivers and this went to the top of the list immediately. The new one goes way to high and spins a lot more than the old one.

I think the main cause is to much backspin. Somehow you are creating more loft on your driver than you want.
Cleveland HiBORE XL and XL Tour Driver Review
I just purchased the hibore iron set all hybrids and like them very much and would like to purchase a matching driver and possibly 3 wood. I hit his against the superquad TP and the Hibore bombed it way past and was super easy to hit.
My S seems much more solid than does the Cleveland. Overall not a horrible club, clevfland not the straightest, and not the nicest. No more 3 iron tee shots for me.
The first thing I noticed when swinging the XL Ccleveland was the weight D-5 which is about 8 swingweights heavier my other driver. I dont know if its the smaller head,or if the stock shaft just seems to suit me but I have found a real gem. I switched from a TM R5D, Typical turnaround time is business days. Loft and shaft combos have a lot to do with launch angle — as do our swings.
Hit one, then some more thinking it was pretty good. Poor Hiore golf club shows considerable wear but is usable.
